Richard Phillip Vance, 95, of Yakima died Jan. 22 at home.
Mr. Vance was born in Table Rock, Neb., and served in the Army Air Corps, performing maintenance on airplanes, during World War II. He was raised in Wymore, Neb., and also lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Seattle for 37 years and Yakima for the last seven.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary Jon Vance of Mount Vernon, Lisa Taber of Oregon City, Ore., Sheila Vance of Yakima, Cindy Lee of Tacoma, Julie Vance and Kelley Vance, both of Seattle; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 23 at West Side Church in Yakima. A graveside service was conducted in Wymore. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors, Yakima.
