Arthur Roy Atkins, 80, of Toppenish died Monday. Mr. Atkins was born in Alliance, Neb., and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Foster’s Sheet Metal in Pasco. He also worked as a sports official in football, basketball and baseball in the Tri-Cities area in the late 1960s, early 1970s.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Atkins of Benton City and Jim Atkins of Kennewick; two daughters, Sue Glenndenning and Tammy Ouellette of Prosser; two sisters, Clara Roes of Nebraska and Marlene Libsack of Yakima; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, followed at 11 a.m. by the funeral with military honors, at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel, Moxee. Burial will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
