YAKIMA - Clyde Allen Reeves, Sr., 71, passed into the arms of our Lord on May 11, 2013. He was at home.

Clyde Allen had a long battle with asthma and COPD. Honey now you are able to ride your motorcycle in Heaven. He was born on September 29, 1941 in Denver, Colorado. Clyde and Patricia Burckhard were married in Leavenworth, Washington on August 8, 2004. Clyde was an officer at Yakima County Department of Corrections for over 26 years. He took so much pride in his job; he was always the first person there for his shift. He was respected by many people and he gave respect back. Clyde was proud to serve our country in the U.S. Army.

Clyde is survived by his wife and best friend, Patricia Burckhard-Reeves of Yakima; four children, Clyde Reeves II (Cindy) and their two daughters and foster son; Hope Decker and her three daughters and one son; and Leola Reeves all of Yakima; Marty Reeves and son of California; two step children, Dean Burckhard of Yakima and Donna Gambill and her son, Gunnar of Spokane; two sisters, Betty (Jim) Carpenter and Mary (Bob) Carpenter of California. He has eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Carl Reeves. Clyde was raised by his grandparents who he called mom and dad. Clyde was loved so much and he gave so much love. He will never be forgotten.

Viewing will be held at the Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave. Yakima, on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Concluding services and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
