YAKIMA, Wash. — Gas prices in the Yakima area rose 7.2 cents in the past week to reach an average of $3.37 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
The Yakima uptick was above the national average of 5.7 cents, though the national average price per gallon was higher, at $3.55 per gallon, the website reported. GasBuddy.com tracks 91 gas stations in the Yakima area.
The current Yakima average is 6 cents higher than a month ago and 1.3 cents lower than a year ago. The national average has increased 28.2 cents per gallon over the last month and is 7.2 cents higher than a year ago.
