YAKIMA — A 26-year-old woman and 4-month old infant were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a crash at Nob Hill Boulevard and 16th Avenue, according to Yakima police.

The woman was driving a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer west on Nob Hill when she drifted across the center line at the intersection with 16th, striking a 2004 Chrysler in the left turn lane heading east, according to police.

The 70-year-old woman in the unidentified Chrysler model was not injured, police said.

Police said the baby was not properly restrained in the Mercury and suffered facial injuries. The accident happened about 2:35 p.m.
