TOPPENISH, Wash. — U.S. Highway 97 will be closed tonight between Toppenish and Goldendale for work related to the Satus Creek bridge project, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The closure will start at 9:30 p.m. and last until 5:30 a.m. Friday.
No detour is available. Alternate routes are available through State Route 14, Interstate 82, U.S. Highway 12 or Interstate 90.
Local traffic will be able to travel north on U.S. 97 to milepost 44 and south to milepost 47.
During the closures, a crane will be used to install a retaining wall along the highway near the bridge.
