EDITOR’S NOTE: Thanks to the compassion of countless people in the Yakima Valley, we’ve been able to help the less fortunate through Season of Sharing, now in its 12th year. Working through the Yakima County RSVP, local nonprofits have provided information on individuals and families who could use your help. Each day through Christmas, the Yakima Herald-Republic will publish information in print and online about some of those in need.

This family of six is struggling after losing their home. They are staying with a family member for the moment.

The oldest son, 15, wears XL shirts/coat, size 32x30 pants and size 8½ shoes. His favorite color is black and he enjoys football and Monopoly. Their next son, 12, wears a L coat, size XL shirts, size 16 pants and size 6 ½ shoes. Purple is his favorite color, and he likes basketball and Battleship. The oldest daughter, age 9, wears 10/12 size shirts/pants/coat, and size 2 shoes. Her favorite color is pink and she enjoys drawing with chalk and jumping rope.

The youngest son, 6, wears size 6 shirts/pants/coat and size 13 shoes. His favorite color is green and he enjoys soccer. Mom wears XL shirts, size 16 pants and size 9 shoes. Dad wears XL shirts, size 32x32 pants and size 8 ½ shoes. The family could use socks and gloves, blankets, food, cleaning supplies and hygiene items. A DVD player would be nice.
