CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington University is planning a memorial for two students killed in a crash Friday on Highway 195 near Colfax.
One of the dead is 21-year-old Nancy Zepeda who was the founder and president of the Alpha Pi Sigma sorority at the university in Cheney.
The other student killed was 21-year-old Ashley Gonzalez who was friends with the sorority but not a member.
Two other sorority members were injured. KHQ reports (http://nbcnews.to/1jtDFUz) 21-year-old Erica Polita was in critical condition condition at a Spokane hospital and 22-year-old Carmen Gomez was treated and released at Whitman Hospital in Colfax.
The Washington State Patrol says Polita was driving the car when it went out of control and collided with a semi-truck.
