YAKIMA, Wash. — Police said a man whose body was found along train tracks appears to be the victim of an accident.
The body was reported about 6:45 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of South Front Street, west of the Yakima Co-Op.
According to a news release, investigators have made a tentative identification of the man, who is believed to be 41 years old. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The man appears to have been injured while attempting to jump on or off a moving train, police said. Investigators estimated the body had been there several days.
