ELLENSBURG, Wash. — A woman from Clarksville, Tenn., was hospitalized Wednesday morning after the driver of a car she was riding in rolled off Interstate 90 east of Ellensburg, coming to a stop on its top, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers said James Butler, 24, was going too fast for conditions when he failed to negotiate a curve to the left on the highway in a 2002 Dodge Durango. The vehicle left the roadway to the right and rolled over. Anna Butler, 50, a passenger, was taken to Kittitas Valley Hospital, where officials said her condition was satisfactory.
The other passenger, Brittany Butler, 22, was not injured. All three were wearing seat belts. The vehicle was totaled. Charges of driving with wheels off the roadway are pending. The accident occurred at 7:23 a.m., 18 miles east of Ellensburg.
