NACHES, Wash. — Containment increased slightly on the Conrad Lake Fire Sunday, and crews are working to strengthen fireline as well as a backup perimeter, incident commanders said this morning.
Containment is now at 12 percent, up from 10 percent earlier in the weekend.
Officials say the weather forecast remains favorable for firefighting efforts.
The fire has burned across 890 acres. It started Aug. 9 during a series of lightning strikes across the region.
