OLYMPIA — Businesses now have smoother access to compete for some contracts offered by local governments.
The Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington, a nonprofit that serves public agencies, on Friday announced the launch of www.mrscrosters.org.
The website allows businesses to complete a single, free application to register with multiple jurisdictions. The previous process required them to register with each city or other government entity.
Once registered, businesses will be notified about public works construction, repair or maintenance projects under $300,000 or small- to medium-sized architecture, engineering, surveying or other consulting professional services projects, according to an MRSC news release.
Participating agencies include:
Benton Co. — Benton County, Benton County Fire District 5, Benton County Fire District 6, Benton PUD, city of Prosser, Prosser Fire District 3
