UNION GAP, Wash. — A Union Gap company is marking the two-year anniversary of its first delivery today.
Liberty Bottleworks, which produces aluminum water bottles, sent its first shipment Dec. 31, 2010, to Seattle-based REI. Liberty now offers its products through more than 2,000 retail outlets and has sent out more than a half-million bottles, founder Tim Andis said.
Liberty was recognized earlier this month as the inaugural recipient of Kokatat Inc.’s American Made Outdoor Gear Award.
