Here’s your sneak peek at Monday’s Marketplace section in the Yakima Herald-Republic:
• For the section centerpiece, I take a closer look at all the good press the Yakima Valley’s been getting lately.
• In the Reporter’s Notebook, I write about some consolidation in the Valley’s bicycle shop sector along with several other business developments.
• Jackie Earl, an occupational therapist with Cascade Summit WorkForce, recently was appointed to a statewide therapy stakeholder group. Earl’s appointment is among the many items featured in our weekly In Basket section.
• Plus weekly economic indicators.
Meanwhile, this week’s weekend read is more of a weekend listen. The Diane Rehm Show, the syndicated public radio show, had two interesting segments this week that are worth a listen. One is a look in America’s debt collection industry ( a topic I reported on few months ago). The other is a discussion about concerns regarding part-time workers.
Have a great weekend.
