— Two Yakima residents were taken to a Tri-City hospital Thursday afternoon after their pickup blew a tire and crashed into a cable barrier, according to the Washington State Patrol

The accident happened about 5:30 p.m. as the two were driving west on Interstate 82, about five miles west of Benton City, according to a news release issued by the State Patrol.

The driver, Robyn Garrett , 58, and passenger Gustavo Cerrillo, 61, both of Yakima, were both taken to Kadlac Medical Center in Richland. Garrett was listed in satisfactory condition Friday. Cerrillo was treated and released.

Both were wearing seat belts.

The vehicle, a 1999 Isuzu pickup, was totaled, according to the release.
