YAKIMA, Wash. — One man was arrested following a brief police chase and two others are being sought after residents of a home west of Yakima were robbed at gunpoint Friday morning.

According to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, three armed men forced their way into a home in the 17000 block of Cottonwood Canyon Road shortly before 5 a.m. and demanded gold and money.

They then fled in two vehicles they stole from the home.

Yakima police spotted the vehicles near South 72nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard. A brief chase ensued, ending when one vehicle crashed in a hay field near the 6300 block of Nob Hill and a 20-year-old man was arrested, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The suspect was taken to the Yakima County jail and is expected to be charged with robbery, according to the release.

Two other suspects are still at large and are considered armed and dangerous. They are described as Hispanic males in their 20s. One is described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall and thin. The other reportedly is about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. The stolen vehicle is a yellow 2004 Dodge Ram pickup with Washington wildlife plates WD 01876.
