JESSICA AND KEVIN had an early spring wedding and were worried about the weather. Their worries were unfounded, since May 26 turned out to be a beautiful day with overcast skies, making for gorgeous pictures. “One of my favorite pictures/memories was right when we said our vows,” says Jessica. “The clouds split and the sun came out and lasted until our vows were said and we had our first kiss. It was perfect.”
OCCUPATIONS: She’s a CPA, he’s studying to be a physician assistant
THEY WERE: high school sweethearts
HOW HE PROPOSED: “We went up into the mountains and Kevin taught me how to shoot a gun. After I was successful in hitting a pop can more than once (I had been asking him to teach me how to shoot a gun for a long time), we had a picnic lunch which he planned and packed. After our nice lunch he surprised me (I had given up on him proposing once again).”
NUMBER OF GUESTS: About 180
NUMBER OF ATTENDANTS: 8
COLORS: fuchsia and Poppy orange
TRADITIONAL OR UNUSUAL: A mix of both
HONEYMOONED: on the road. Kevin started school within two weeks of the wedding, so the couple took a road trip to Arizona, spending a night in Twin Falls, ID, and two nights in Las Vegas. “It was a lot of fun just driving, talking, and listening to music.” They’re planning a trip after Kevin is finished with school.
SOME FAVORITE MOMENTS: “Watching our guests have as much fun as we did!”
