Weddings are about creating new families and forming bonds between existing ones, as Kalea Harrison and Nathaniel Feltner recognized on their own big day. “It turned out exactly how I had hoped it would,” says Kalea. “We really felt like it was a big family reunion and so enjoyed spending time with our family and friends.” Their ceremony exhibited a traditional, formal style, but wasrelaxed and comfortable, too. The cloth napkins and runners were hand-sewn, jam favors were homemade, and dinner was a burger bar. To keep with the “family first” theme, Kalea’s uncle married the couple, and she wore her aunt’s veil. “It was a very family-centered wedding, and that’s exactly how we envisioned it,” she says.
