Holiday-themed craft goods and gifts filled the Yakama Nation Winter Lodge for the annual Christmas Bazaar on Friday in Toppenish. The bazaar, which features more than 50 vendors and hosts 400 to 500 people, has been a fixture for over 20 years in Toppenish, coordinator Arlene Olney says. Traditional Christmas craft goods and Native American leather and beadwork can be found lining the tables. The event will continue Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with an appearance by Santa Claus from 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The bazaar is a fundraiser for the Native American Christian Woman’s Conference at the All Tribes Church in Wapato on May 17-18.
