YAKIMA - Joyce Ann Hargrave, 65, a lifetime resident of Yakima, passed away on April 2, 2013 surround by loved ones. Joyce was born to Harold and Mina Williams on July 22, 1947. Joyce was also a longtime member of Bethel Nazarene Church.

Joyce was a homemaker who loved to cook (most times enough to feed a small army) and especially her “Famous Baked Beans and Amazing Fudge” at all holidays and family functions throughout the year. (I think we would make up a get together just so she could make some beans). She would give you the shirt off her back, the sandals off her feet and her last “Bingo Dobber” if yours went dry. She had a way to make everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world to her. It was a real honor to get the distinction of being “ONE OF HER KIDS.” Joyce was well loved and will be missed by many family and friends. Her smile and great sense of humor will long live in our hearts.

She is survived by her daughters, Willa (Jose) Silva, Melissa Hargrave; three granddaughters, Ceceilia Ann Munguia, Leticia Hargrave and Natalia Silva; grandsons, Luis James Munguia and Jose Jr. Silva; great-grandchildren, Luis Angel Munguia, Araceli Chavez, Faith Silva, Damian Munguia and Aaliyah Abundiz; brother, Gordon Hartley; sisters, Deanne Chairez, Wanda “Susie”(Pete) Cortez and numerous friends, neighbors, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers Darold, Willie, Elton and Baby John Williams.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bethel Nazarene Church, 1103 W. Mead Ave., Yakima, WA 98902 on Saturday, April 13, at 3:00 PM with a potluck reception to follow.
