In the past three weeks, they've spent hours learning and rehearsing the dances while their mothers sewed matching dresses for the performance.

Maria and her daughter were part of a group that put together a performance of traditional Mexican dances to celebrate the holiday. Meeting at La Casa Hogar, the daughters, ranging in age from 5 to 10, learned the steps, while the mothers sewed matching costumes, putting together the performance in three weeks.
