SELAH, Wash. — A woman and teenager were injured Friday night when one of them failed to yield and struck another car in an intersection, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Both were taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital after the 8:15 p.m. accident. They were treated and released, a nursing supervisor said Saturday.

The State Patrol said Ashli Nicole Person, 17, of Bonney Lake was southbound on North Wenas Road when she entered the intersection with State Route 823. Her car struck a vehicle driven by Patricia Ann Clyde, 51, of Selah, who was northbound on SR 823.

The patrol said in a news release that Person was cited for failure to yield.
