SELAH, Wash. — Two people from Moses Lake were injured in a rollover crash this morning on Interstate 82, the State Patrol said.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the freeway at 8:13 a.m. near Lmuma Creek, about 18 miles north of Yakima.
The State Patrol said the driver, 35-year-old Mayra Andrade Gaytan, lost control of her 2002 GMC Envoy, struck a guardrail and flipped the vehicle its top in the middle of the road.
Gaytan and her passenger, 6-year-old Delaney Torres, were taken by ambulance to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in Ellensburg. The two were treated and released, a hospital representative said.
The patrol said Gaytan was cited for speeding. Both she and her passenger were wearing seat belts. Intoxicants were not suspected, authorities said.
