Yakima Valley moved up to sixth in this week’s NWAACC men’s basketball poll.

The Yaks, 3-1 in the East Region and 13-5 overall, have scored 100 or more points in four of their last five games. Ranked eighth in the previous poll, YVCC hosts Columbia Basin at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Yakima Valley’s women (2-2, 9-8) did not make the top eight in the rankings but were among teams receiving votes. They host CBC at 2 p.m. Saturday.
