Yakima Valley Community College’s men’s basketball team will host an alumni game Friday night.

The contest, set for 7 p.m. in Sherar Gym, will tentatively include 11 former Yaks who will take on the current squad, which is 6-3 and was ranked No. 1 in the initial NWAACC coaches poll.

YVCC head coach and athletic director Ray Funk has indicated that a food social has been scheduled for 5:15 p.m. and alums will be asked to address the present team.

The alumni roster, as announced Tuesday (name, height, high school/hometown, years at YVCC): Jeff Curfman (6-8, Eisenhower, 2006-07), DeShawn Battle (6-2, Las Vegas, 2011-12); Willie Blodgett (6-0, Wapato, 2009-11); Jody Johnson (6-4, Franklin/Seattle, 2007-09); Julian Holliday (5-11, Lincoln/Tacoma, 2008-09); DeAndre Riggins (6-0, Foster/Tukwila, 2009-11); Rickey Lott (6-0, Davis, 2005-06); LeMar Anglin (6-6, Proviso West/Chicago, 2007-09); Dale Curfman (6-4, Eisenhower, 2004-05); Seth Maras (6-2, Cle Elum, 2005-06); Trent Spellman (6-3, O’Dea/Seattle, 2007-09).

Thursday, Yakima Valley will host Bellevue for a nonleague game at 4 p.m.
