YAKIMA, Wash. — For those who have been waiting for new snow before heading up to the White Pass ski area to hit the slopes, well, that wait is over. That time is now.

As of 5:15 a.m. today, the White Pass summit had received 10 inches of new snow over the previous 24 hours, on top of one inch of new snow over the 24 hours before that. That puts snow levels in the base area at ranging between 15 and 29 inches, while up top there’s 60 inches of coverage.

The only terrain now closed is the front side off Great White, and the terrain park is being rebuilt today. The Nordic center isn’t yet open, though, with more coverage needed. Snowshoe rental is still available at the day lodge, however.
