YAKIMA, Wash. — Not Amy is probably Yakima’s most popular band right now, and they’re playing at perhaps the best Yakima venue on Saturday afternoon, so that’s the On Blog’s Top Pick of the Week.
They’ll be at the Gilbert Cellars Wine Cave, which is a picture postcard of bucolic splendor out in West Valley. There’s a vineyard right behind the stage, and you can buy wine by the glass or bottle. Plus, because this weekend is Spring Barrel Tasting, you can taste some yet-to-be-bottled stuff, which is always fun.
For those who still haven’t seen Not Amy, this is the place to do it. They’re a fairly mellow, sweet-harmonizing, singer-songwriter outfit that occasionally kicks into a more energetic rock mode. So this setting should suit them.
The Cave is at 2620 Draper Road. The show goes from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the Gilbert tasting room downtown, 5 N. Front St. For information visit www.gilbertcellars.com or www.reallynotamy.com or call 509-249-9049.
